JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) noted, as many as 314,337 vehicles left the Jabotabek area on D-7 to D-6 Eid Al-Fitr 1444 H/Lebaran 2023 which crashed in the period Saturday-Sunday (15-16 April 2023).

Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head of PT Jasa Marga Lisye Octaviani said that this figure is the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Barrier / Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (Merak direction), Ciawi GT (Pount direction), Cikampek Utama GT (direction to Trans Java), and Kalihurip Utama GT (direction to Bandung).

"The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 14.27 percent compared to normal traffic (a total of 275,087 vehicles). When compared to the Lebaran 2022 period, the total traffic volume was 0.6 percent lower (of 316,307 vehicles)," he said in a written statement, Monday, April 17.

"Meanwhile, when compared with the prediction of the 2023 Eid traffic volume in the same period, the total traffic volume is 7.2 percent lower (out of 338,653 vehicles)," he added.

For traffic distribution leaving Jabotabek, it is more dominant towards all three directions, namely 166,132 vehicles or 52.9 percent towards the East (Trans Java and Bandung), 83,363 vehicles or 26.5 percent towards the West (Merak), and 64,842 vehicles (as large as 20.6 percent) towards the South (Puncak).

As for the details of the traffic distribution, including traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 105,992 vehicles, an increase of 75.75 percent from normal traffic.

Then, traffic left Jabotabek heading towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 60,140 vehicles or 9.45 percent lower than normal traffic.

With these details, the total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs was 166,132 vehicles, an increase of 31.1 percent from normal traffic.

Furthermore, traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Merak via the Cikupa GT Tangerang-Merak Toll Road was 83,363 vehicles, an increase of up to 5.93 percent from normal traffic.

Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 64,842 vehicles or 6.92 percent lower than normal traffic.

"Jasa Marga also urges people who will travel back and forth via toll roads to ensure travel readiness, including meeting travel requirements, ensuring the condition of the driver and vehicle is in prime condition and roadworthy, preparing supplies, ensuring sufficient fuel and electronic money balance," concluded Lisye.
