The Capital Authority of the Archipelago (OIKN) revealed that investor interest is very high to be involved in the development of the National Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago in East Kalimantan.

"The high interest of friendly countries to invest in the capital city of the archipelago can be seen from delegates from Korea, Japan and Switzerland who have visited the capital city of Nusantara directly to observe development progress and explore investment opportunities. Including the Japanese delegation are entrepreneurs engaged in the building and housing sectors," said the Head of OIKN, Bambang Susantono in his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, April 13.

Bambang said the latest data shows that 167 investors have sent a Letter of Intent to participate in the development of the capital city of Nusantara. Among them, five investors have received a Letter to Proceed (LTP) permit from the government to build housing for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), namely PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (SMRA), Konsortium Nusantara (CCFG Corp and RBN), Korean Land and Development, Consortium PT Perintis Triniti Properti Tbk (TRIN) and PT Nindya Karya (Persero).

To facilitate investment in the capital city of Nusantara, the government has issued a special policy through Government Regulation Number 12 of 2023 concerning the Provision of Business Licensing, Ease of Doing Business, and Investment Facilities for Business Actors in the capital city of the archipelago. The purpose of this policy is to provide greater certainty, opportunity, and participation to business actors to accelerate the development of the capital city of the archipelago.

Bambang said this policy was designed so that the capital city of the archipelago would not only become the center of government, but also the center of economic activity that is Indonesian-centric. He hopes that business actors can help make this city a center for the provision of infrastructure and economic activities that will become the locomotive of economic growth in the future for Indonesia.

The development of the capital city of Nusantara is a big project that requires large investment and collaboration between the government and business people. This city was built from scratch on green land, which provides a unique opportunity to create a sustainable and efficient urban environment," said Bambang.

The capital city of Nusantara is a new capital city that is being developed in Indonesia according to the mandate of Law Number 3 of 2022. This city is expected to be a sustainable city that will boost the country's economy in the future and become a symbol of national identity. The Indonesian government is committed to only 20 percent of its development funds coming from the state budget, while the remaining 80 percent will be funded by investors.

The investment potential in the capital city of Nusantara is very large, with opportunities in various sectors, including housing, transportation, energy, and tourism. The city is also expected to become a center of innovation, where the government plans to establish a research and development center and attract technology companies to the city.
