The Ministry Of Transportation Ensures Logistics Supply Is Smooth During The 2023 Eid Holiday Period

The Directorate General (Ditjen) of Sea Transportation (Hubla) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) ensures that logistics supplies run smoothly during the 2023 Eid holiday period.

This is as stated in the letter from the Director General of Sea Transportation No. AL.203/1/7/DJPL/2023 addressed to all Technical Implementation Units (UPT) of the Directorate General of Hubla to regulate the operating hours of loading and unloading goods at the port during the Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri period.

"In the letter in order to ensure the smooth flow of goods at the port, all UPT should coordinate with stakeholders regarding the arrangement of loading and unloading hours during the Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri period," said Director General (Dirjen) of Hubla Arif Toha in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Monday, April 10.

Arif said the arrangement of operating hours was carried out to consider the smooth distribution of goods in the local area so that basic needs could be distributed during the Eid holiday period.

"So, coordination is carried out by balancing the smooth distribution of logistics in the area so that basic commodities, essential materials, and other goods can meet the needs of the community during the 1444 Hijri Eid al-Fitr period," said Arif.

In addition, he also said that service users and the public do not need to worry because the port continues to serve loading and unloading for logistics needs during the Eid al-Fitr period.

"So, service users do not need to worry about this Lebaran holiday, the port will continue to serve loading and unloading based on the needs of the area. It is also hoped that the public will not need to panic about the need for basic commodities because the Directorate General of Hubla will optimally serve loading and unloading of the community's logistics needs," he said.

Previously, the Directorate General of Hubla also held an alertness meeting for the opening of the Lebaran 2023 sea transportation post at the Tanjung Priok Port Passenger Terminal, Jakarta, Thursday, April 6.

The command post will start on 7 April-8 May 2023 and will operate for 24 hours to monitor sea shipping security and safety conditions during the Eid homecoming and homecoming period.
