The Ministry Of PUPR Functions 6 Toll Roads In Java And 4 In Sumatra For Lebaran Homecoming

The Ministry of PUPR has confirmed that it will temporarily function 6 toll roads on the islands of Java and 4 in Sumatra to support the smooth running and convenience of the 2023 Eid traffic flow.

Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said the Ministry of PUPR would temporarily function 6 new toll roads on Java Island along 87 km to support smooth running and convenience of homecoming traffic flow.

The sections include, the Cileunyi 'Sumedang' Duauan (Cisumdawu) Section 4-6 and the Cimalaka 'Lawuan section along 28.2 km. Currently, the Cisumdawu Toll Road Sections 1,2, and 3 have operated normally with a width of 4 lanes, while Sections 4,5, and 6 will only be opened functionally.

Furthermore, Basuki said the Cisumdawu Toll Road would shorten the travel time from Cileunyi to Dawuan. So that travelers from Bandung want to go to Semarang do not need to go to Cikampek, but can go directly through Dawuan.

"Homecomers from the South who want to go to the north of West Java do not need to go through Cikampek, so it is very helpful to unravel congestion," he said in an official statement, Thursday, April 6.

According to Basuki, currently handling the landslide point at Section 5 of the Cisumdawu Toll Road, so that 2 lanes will be opened and traffic control will be implemented by the Korlantas Polri.

"It is targeted that the handling of landslides will be completed on April 15, 2023," he said.

The new toll roads that will be functionalized to support the Lebaran homecoming are the Ciawi Toll Road Sukabumi Section 2 Cigombong-Cibadak (11.9 km) and the Solo 'Yogyakarta' TOll Road NYIA Kulon Progo for parts of Section 1.1 along 6.1 km.

The next functional toll roads are the Jakarta-Cikampek II Selatan Package 3 from the Sadang-SS Kutanegara Interchange (28.7 km), the Cimanggis 'Cibitung Toll Road Section 2A Jatikarya' Cikeas (3.5 km), and the Pasuruan 'Probolinggo Toll Road Section 4A Probolinggo Timur IC Gending (8.6 km).

Not only on the island of Java, Basuki said that his party would also temporarily function 4 toll roads on the island of Sumatra. For example, the Kuala Tanjung Toll Road "High Cliff Segment Tebing Tinggi"SS Inderapura (28.5 km) and the Dolok Merawan Segment" Sinaksak (15.6 km).

Then, the Sigli' Banda Aceh Section 56 Blang BintangBaitussalam (12.7 km) Toll Road. Then, the Binjai 'Langsa Section 2 Stabat' Proclamation Road (7.2 km).

Next, Simpang Indralaya 'Muara Enim, Indralaya Intersection Section' Prabumulih (63.5 km).

In supporting the smooth running and convenience of the 2023 Lebaran traffic flow, the Ministry of PUPR ensures the readiness of the 2,624 km of toll road infrastructure and a 47,602 km national road network with an occupancy rate of 91.8 percent.
