Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan Estimates Gasoline Consumption To Increase By 7.6 Percent

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan estimates that there will be an increase in gasoline type fuel consumption on Eid to 7.6 percent, gasoil to 1.5 percent and LPG to 4.6 percent of the daily normal average in the Kalimantan region.

For East Kalimantan Province, the estimated increase in gasoline type fuel reached 10.4 percent, gasoil by 1.2 percent, and an increase in LPG consumption by 5.2 percent.

Pertamina's Executive General Manager Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan, M Taufiq Setyawan said, to oversee the smooth distribution of fuel ahead of and at the time of Eid Al-Fitr, Pertamina had formed a Task Force (Satgas) from April 1 to May 2, 2023 at the Regional office and all supply locations for BBM and LPG points spread across the Kalimantan region.

"Pertamina will monitor the stock and distribution of fuel and LPG supply located in the operational area of the Kalimantan Regional, namely in East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan and West Kalimantan Provinces," said Taufiq.

In addition, Pertamina has also alerted 114 gas stations on crowded vehicles and tourism routes spread across East Kalimantan as many as 19 gas stations, West Kalimantan 46 gas stations, Central Kalimantan 15 gas stations, North Kalimantan 3 gas stations, and South Kalimantan 31 gas stations.

"All of these standby gas stations will operate for 24 hours and have been built up stock since D-7," he concluded.
