JAKARTA - Deputy for Investment Promotion of the Ministry of Investment/BKPM Nurul Ichwan said the Hannover Messe 2023 event would make Indonesia part of the global supply chain (global supply chain), especially in the Electric Vehicle/EV (electric vehicle) industry.

"In the context of Hannover Messe, of course we want to be part of the global supply chain for the EV one, so we hope that for EV battery, Indonesia can become one of the centers or hubs of its industry," said Nurul in a discussion on the Merdeka Barat 9 Forum (FMB9) with the theme "The Future Industry has an Environmental Insight of Hannover Messe 2023" in Jakarta, Monday, March 27.

According to Nurul, there are various kinds of investments that Indonesia can offer in Hannover Messe and basically quite open.

"But there is indeed one thing that concerns us, right, in order to make Indonesia an industrial country 4.0, we both recognize that Indonesia's existence only exists at the level of the service industry, but in the context of carrying out industrial processes and utilizing the most advanced technology, we are still lagging behind," he said.

Therefore, said Nurul, Indonesia's exposure to be part of the cooperation between countries that have a comparative advantage such as Indonesia with a competitive advantage over existing technology, can produce innovations that will eventually become part of the global supply chain for any industry in the future.

"Indonesia has the ability to do that. This means that in terms of the wealth of natural resources that we have, we also have human resources, we have demographic bonuses, so that our workforce is safe until 2050," he said.

"So, the world sees Indonesia until now and this is what we have to take advantage of, so that the cooperation at Hannover Messe is not only branding, there is something we can build from cooperation between Indonesia and the world of technology owners," he concluded.

Just so you know, Indonesia will become a partner country in the international industrial trade show Hannover Messe 2023 in Germany, which will take place on April 17-21.

Indonesia's participation as the Official Partner Country Hannover Messe 2023 is important for branding for Indonesia as well as encouraging the improvement of Indonesia's manufacturing capabilities and the development of digital infrastructure.

In addition, it can expand and establish new partnerships related to industry 4.0.

Through Hannover Messe 2023, Indonesia will again display a number of industrial technology 4.0 and investment opportunities in the industrial sector.

Carrying the Pinisi screen logo and the "Infinite Journey" tagline, Hannover Messe 2023 is expected to inspire and encourage participants to embrace unlimited opportunities.
