Equipped With Mumpuni Facilities, Ministry Of PUPR Completes Construction Of Ponpes Flats In Poso

The Directorate General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR has completed the construction of flats (rusun) for the Nahdlatul Tholibin Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) students in Lanto Jaya Village, Poso Pesisir District, Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi (Sulteng).

This vertical residence was built one tower as high as two floors, has four barracks with a capacity of up to 56 people.

The flats have also been equipped with beds, wardrobes, and other supporting facilities.

The Director General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR, Iwan Suprijanto, said that the construction of flats for students spread throughout Indonesia, including in the Central Sulawesi region.

"We want the students to be comfortable staying in the flats during Ramadan," said Iwan in a written statement in Jakarta, quoted on Tuesday, March 28.

Head of the Sulawesi II Housing Provision Implementation Center (BP2P) of the Directorate General of Housing, Ministry of PUPR Bakhtiar, said the flat was built in collaboration between the Ministry of PUPR and the Indonesian National Police.

The construction of the flat was completed in December 2022 and has carried out the Provisional Hand Over (PHO) stage.

"It is hoped that this flat will become a center for learning activities for students at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level in Poso Regency," said Bakhtiar.

The construction of this Ponpes is in accordance with the application proposed by the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board of Poso Regency to the central PBNU leadership which was then supported by the National Police Headquarters.

The flats are also ready and eligible to be inhabited by students, because there are supporting facilities for each residence, such as flat beds and wardrobes, as well as infrastructure, facilities, and utilities (PSU) equipped with paving blocks and garden lights.

"We hope that this flat can become a comfortable and safe place for students who live and study here, especially in this month of Ramadan," he said.

For your information, in 2023, the Ministry of PUPR has also started the construction of flats in various regions.

It was recorded that until the end of March 2023, there had been a contract for the construction of flats in 55 locations spread across all provinces with a value of Rp883.79 billion.
