Details Of Rising Rice, Eggs And Chili Prices In West Lampung Entering Ramadan 1444 H

LAMPUNG BARAT - The increase in the price of basic necessities in several parts of Indonesia has begun to be observed to increase. One of them occurred in a number of traditional markets in West Lampung, Lampung Province.

Head of the Trade Division of the West Lampung Regency Cooperatives, SMEs, Industry and Trade Office, Heriyanto said, the increase in prices for a number of basic commodities in several traditional markets was based on the results of monitoring that had been carried out by his party.

"From the results of yesterday's monitoring with the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID), we noted that there was an increase in several basic needs in a number of markets in West Lampung ahead of Ramadan," Heri said, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 23.

He explained that the current rising prices for basic necessities include rice. The price of premium rice in the market is currently in the range of Rp. 12 thousand from the previous Rp. 11,750 per kg, medium rice from the price of Rp. 10,750/kg, to Rp. 11,250/kg.

Furthermore, broiler chicken eggs increased from the previous price of Rp. 28 thousand to 29 thousand/kg, to Rp. 30,500/kg, honan onions from Rp. 30 thousand/kg to Rp. 32,500/kg.

Red cayenne pepper from a price of IDR 45 thousand/kg increased to IDR 60 thousand/kg, large red chilies from IDR 28 thousand/kg to IDR 29 thousand/kg.

In addition to checking the prices of basic commodities in the market, his party together with TPID also carried out the tera scales used by traders.

"This scale was carried out in order to minimize the fraud on scales carried out by traders," he said.

He said that this was done so that there would be no price irregularities so as to prevent people from losing money.
