No PPKM, AP II Predicts To Serve 5.24 Million Passengers In The 2023 Eid Homecoming Season

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) predicts that the number of passengers going home for Lebaran 2023 will reach 5.24 million people.

Given that the government has no restrictions on mobility at this year's Eid al-Fitr moment.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II or AP II Muhammad Awaluddin said he would ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during the Lebaran 2023 homecoming season period.

Moreover, continued Awaluddin, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi had said there would be an explosion of passengers compared to last year.

Given that the government has lifted the division of restrictions on community activities (PPKM).

"Our position of readiness must be very different than we replaced last year's Eid transportation configuration. For traffic projections, we estimate that 5.24 million will be realized," he told reporters, written Wednesday, March 22.

Awaluddin said that aircraft movements are predicted to reach 36,585 flights, an increase of 11 percent from the same period last year.

He said, if you look at the projection of the number of passengers and the movement of the aircraft, it is certain that this year's utility level will be very high.

Moreover, continued Awaluddin, the number of aircraft operating during the 2023 Eid homecoming was around 412 aircraft or less than before the COVID-19 pandemic which reached 650 aircraft.

"This means that we can ensure that the seat load factor (passenger load factor) will be very high," he explained.
