JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) stated that there is the potential for Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) which states that the conventional motor to electricity conversion program is starting to be launched this year.

Director of PNBP Ministry / Ministry of Finance Wawan Sunarjo explained that the missing PNBP value reached trillions of rupiah.

"This year, the electricity motor conversion program is targeted to reach 50,000 units. Meanwhile, the value of the Type Test Registration Certification (SRUT) per unit is IDR 25 million, so the total is IDR 1.25 trillion," he said when answering reporters' questions in Jakarta on Tuesday, March 21.

Wawan added, for the 2024 period, it is planned that the target for converting electric motorcycles is as many as 200,000 units with an estimated PNBP levy of IDR 5 trillion.

"So in the next two years the value of PNBP is IDR 6.25 trillion," he said.

In the previous VOI report, it was stated that the value of the conversion subsidy of electric motors was IDR 7 million for each unit.

Meanwhile, this electric motor conversion program applies widely to the general public without any specific accompanying conditions.

This is different from the new electric motorcycle subsidy program which requires buyers to meet a number of provisions such as MSMEs receiving People's Business Credit (KUR).

It was also stated that people who were entitled to receive new electric motor subsidies were Recipients of Productive Assistance for Micro Enterprises or BPUM, recipients of wage subsidies, and recipients of 450-900 VA electricity subsidies.

This electric motor conversion program will be handled by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources while the electricity motor subsidy at the Ministry of Industry will be handled.
