AKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno hopes that the Nasari Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP) which has been inaugurated as a pioneer of cooperative unicorns in the country can support Indonesia's economic recovery.
"Hopefully, with the confirmation of KSP Nasari, it can support Indonesia's economic recovery," Sandiaga said as quoted from a written statement received in Jakarta, Sunday, March 19, which was confiscated by Antara.
He also hopes that KSP Nasari can adapt in responding to new economic challenges, such as a digital-based economy, as well as a model for other cooperatives to be ready to transform into modern cooperatives.
Sandiaga conveyed this while attending online the inauguration of KSP Nasari as a pioneer of cooperative unicorns in Indonesia as well as the 24-year Annual Member Meeting (RAT) for the 2022 Fiscal Year as well as the change of management of KSP Nasari for the 2023-2028 period in Semarang, Central Java, Friday 17 March.
On that occasion, he congratulated the implementation of the KSP Nasari RAT.
He also appreciated KSP Nasari for regularly incubating micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through legality and licensing training, digital marketing, financial management training, business matching, and online shopping through live broadcasts.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the KSP Nasari Management for the period 2023-2028 Frans Meroga Panggabean said the implementation of the RAT was a form of accountability for the work of the management to the members.
KSP Nasari, which was founded in Semarang on August 31, 1998, currently has 45 branch offices and more than 300 service counters operating throughout Indonesia.
Since 2021, said Frans, KSP Nasari has launched the Nasari Digital (Nadi) super mobile application.
"Our members, totaling 39,730 people, can currently use Nadi in the service of needs and convenience for financial transactions with a number of features in the application, including e-wallet, billing payment points, savings, loans, marketplaces, e-learning MSMEs, RAT Online, and QRIS," explained Frans.
Head of the Central Java Cooperatives and MSMEs Office, Ema Rachmawati, who was present representing the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, said that currently digital companies are not eyeed by banks because most of them only have virtual offices, even though they actually need financing facilities.
"This condition should also be an opportunity for savings and loan cooperatives to be a financing solution because actually these digital business people have the competence and opportunity to develop, but are constrained by limited capital," said Ema.
Responding to this, Frans said his party would follow up on these opportunities. KSP Nasari, studied the digital business model and studied the mitigation of financing risks.
This will complement the current Nasari KSP service, namely financing for MSME actors involved in the procurement of government goods and services.
