JAKARTA - Sydney's Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra's Trade Attache participated in the Sydney Build Expo 2023 construction product exhibition, Australia on March 6-7 with a potential transaction worth US$4 million.

"Indonesia's construction products, which were displayed by four companies at the Sydney Build Expo 2023 exhibition, managed to record a potential transaction of US$4 million and is expected to continue to increase. The incessant infrastructure development in Australia is a great opportunity for Indonesia," said Head of ITPC Sydney Christophorus Barutu as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, March 18.

Christophorus added, Australia is currently focusing on infrastructure development, such as roads, toll roads, railroads, metro rails, ports, and airports.

Several major projects are underway and construction will begin, including the WestContex Toll Road, Sydney Metro Public Transport Project, Western Sydney Airport (NSW); Kwinana Container Port (WA); Darwin Port (NT), and Melbourne Metro Tunnel (VIC).

The Indonesian construction products displayed in the exhibition are PT Cellcius Indoperkasa, PT Graha Adhi Jaya Abadi, PT Alexindo, and PT Dharma Sumber Nusantara.

PT Cellcius Indoperkasa displays products in the form of sandwich panels, aluminum heat insulation barriers, and FRP roofs; PT Graha Adhi Jaya Abadi displays packaged gratings, roofs, tanks, rectangular chemical pounds, and customized orders, as well as GRP/FRP pipes.

PT Alexindo showcases aluminum window and door products and semi-finished good aluminum; and PT Dharma Sumber Nusantara displays its production results, namely engineering caliber door, floor, and table top, and plywood/blockboard.

"The Sydney Build Expo 2023 seems to be interested in eduction aluminum products, panel sandwiches, timber door, roofing, and gratification. This interest is also one of them because Indonesian products are expected to be an alternative to replace construction products that have been supplied from RRT and Russia," said Christophorus.

Christophorus hopes that Indonesia's participation in the Sydney Build Expo 2023 exhibition can be an opportunity to strengthen Indonesia's presence in the Australian construction and building markets. He predicts that the Australian construction and building market will experience rapid growth in the coming years.
