JAKARTA - Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati ensured that the supply of fuel oil (BBM) for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2023 was safe, despite the fire incident at the BBM Terminal (TBBM) or Plumpang Depo.

"There are no more problems in supply for 19 cities/regencies supplied from TBBM Plumpang," he said in a meeting with Commission VI of the DPR, written Wednesday, March 15.

Nicke said there is a possibility that the number of travelers this year will increase compared to the previous year. Even so, said Nicke, Pertamina is ready to deal with it by preparing fuel supplies.

"We realize that Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr this time will definitely increase because PPKM has been revoked, and after three years people cannot go home. So we will prepare it properly," he said.

On this occasion, Nicke said the Plumpang Depo sent fuel to around 790 public gas stations (SPBU) in 19 districts/cities. This includes supplying necessities for Pertashop and fishermen.

There are also 304 industrial customers sent from here (Depo Plumpang). The supply of fuel from Plumpang covers 19 districts/cities," he explained.

In fact, said Nicke, this Plumpang Depo stores 15 percent of the national fuel stock. Therefore, Pertamina cannot immediately close or move the Plumpang Depo. Because, it will have a broad impact.

"If nationally there is 15 percent of the national stock in Plumpang. This is the situation. So if an incident occurs or something has to be off, this impact can be more widespread," he said.
