Deputy Minister of SOEs I Pahala Mansury asked the Food SOE Holding, ID FOOD, to optimize the infrastructure assets of PT Berdikari's subsidiaries, especially warehousing and chain dining or cold and dry chain ahead of food reserve management (CPP), especially for beef and poultry.

"Through asset optimization, ID FOOD Group warehousing infrastructure needs to be maximized for an integrated food supply chain," he said in an official statement received by VOI, Thursday, March 9.

Based on records, warehousing assets managed by ID FOOD Group through a subsidiary of PT Berdikari have a land area of around 27,070 square meters (m2) with a warehousing area of 1,444 m2.

These assets are located in the strategic North Jakarta area with access to transportation mode logistics such as Tanjung Priok port, Halim Perdanakusuma train station and airport.

Therefore, Pahala asked ID FOOD to prepare logistics infrastructure starting from dry and cooled warehouses, fleets, to supporting technology in operating food stock control which is the role of SOEs in implementing CPP.

Meanwhile, President Director of Food Holding ID FOOD Frans Marganda Tambunan said ID FOOD was preparing an integrated food supply chain system.

Furthermore, Frans said, this system functions to integrate upstream food from producers, distributors to consumers with the support of the ID FOOD Group in the logistics trading sector.

At the upstream level, continued Frans, this system records producers based on food commodities throughout Indonesia, product specifications, food production patterns based on the season, as well as food price trends.

Meanwhile, at the distributor level or downstream, the system will record commodity distributors in various regions, monitor market price movements or consumer prices in all regions to maintain supply balance.

"So with digitalization, ID FOOD will operate a supply system and demand food stocks and get information if you get an increase in stock demand in an area," said Frans.

According to Frans, this step is also the right way to secure food supply.

Therefore, Frans also invited the collaboration of food producers or suppliers to synergize with SOE ID FOOD.

On this occasion, the Director of Supply Chain Management and Information Technology Holding Food ID FOOD, Bernadetta Raras explained that the supply chain system prepared for ID FOOD Group including PT Berdikari is equipped with supporting facilities in the form of permanent cold storage infrastructure, portable cold storage, reefer containers to a digitally integrated and monitored cold container fleet.

"This facility is to ensure the availability and affordability of food to all regions of Indonesia managed by the ID FOOD Group," concluded Raras.
