Bank Mandiri Launches Investment Feature In Livin Application

JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk is said to have launched a new investment feature for Prime Retail Government Securities (SBN) on the Livin digital application.

Bank Mandiri SVP Wealth Management Sista Pravesthi said the choice of investment products that were embedded coincided with the offering period for the SR018 Retail Sukuk series from the Ministry of Finance which began on March 3, 2023.

"We continue to strive to provide various investment solutions through digital platforms to expand the target segment to retail customers," she said as quoted on Tuesday, March 7.

According to Sista, customers only need to follow the investment registration process. After that, customers can immediately start investing in SBN Prime products with a minimum order of IDR 1 million. Likewise, the redeem process is easy for customers to do when needed.

"Through Livin, users can freely choose various investment products according to their respective risk profiles and monitor their portfolios anytime and anywhere in one application," she said.

The SR018 investment product offering, continued Sista, is a form of Bank Mandiri's strong support for the Ministry of Finance as a distribution partner.

"Through the presence of retail SBN investment options at Livin' by Mandiri, we are optimistic that ordering SR018 through Bank Mandiri can reach IDR 4 trillion," she said.

Sista added, as a form of implementation of support and expansion of SR018 education and outreach to the public, the company became the first distribution partner to market SR018 products to diaspora in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Not only that, but Bank Mandiri also cooperates with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore and the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Hong Kong to organize an educational program on Retail SBN and investment for the diaspora.

Sista claims that the growth of Bank Mandiri's Wealth Management business is projected to increase in the future, especially for retail investors. Meanwhile, as of the end of February 2023, the total number of investors using Livin' Investment has reached more than 200,000 investors, of which 70 percent are new investors.
