Reviewing Pertamina Plumpang Depot Fire Refugees, Minister Erick: If Giving Is Not Used, What Is Important Is That Allah Take Note Of

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir visited RPTRA Rasela, North Jakarta, one of the refugee camps for victims affected by the Pertamina Plumpang Depot fire, on Friday night, March 3.

Erick said all parties must work together to help all victims affected by the violent fire incident.

"Today, we are of course not only focusing on maintenance, evacuation and thank God, not only Pertamina, but Banser NU is also at the forefront, apparently. This is why we have to work together, about the first thing we focus on is community casualties. In the short term," he told reporters at RPTRA Rasela, North Jakarta, Saturday, March 4.

Regarding the assistance that has been given to the victim, Erick did not provide further information. According to him, the most important thing right now is the rescue of all victims.

"If you give it, you don't need to mention it, earlier there was already such assistance, the important thing is that Allah records it," he said.

In addition, said Erick, his party will be more disciplined, so that fire incidents do not happen again in the future.

"We in BUMN must be disciplined, the community must be disciplined, but do not let things that are not desirable happen. Well, I have instructed Pertamina to start reviewing the security points, one of which may be that we will move them to the port to be safe, but, of course, there must be a mutual agreement" he concluded.
