Conglomerate Sari Roti Producer Anthony Salim Earns IDR 432 Billion Net Profit In 2022

JAKARTA - Sari Roti producer owned by conglomerate Anthony Salim, PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk (ROTI) managed to record an increase in net profit of 52.4 percent to IDR 432 billion in 2022, compared to the same period in 2021.

This positive performance was driven by sales growth of all channels, both modern and traditional, along with improvements in profitability. Director of Nippon Indosari Corpindo Ida Aulia said the increase in company sales was a form of success from the company's business expansion or expansion in Western and Eastern operational areas.

"Sales on both modern and traditional channels as well as improvements in profitability throughout 2022," he explained in an official statement, quoted Friday, March 3.

During 2022, the company managed to record sales of IDR 3.9 trillion or grew 19.7 percent from 2021. Western and East sales areas posted an extraordinary increase of 22.5 percent compared to the previous year to IDR 1.74 trillion or contributed 44.3 percent to national sales.

Then, the central region remains the main contributor with sales of IDR 2.19 trillion or growing 17.5 percent on an annual basis. This growth was achieved by the company amid the increase in raw material prices, especially wheat flour, which previously suppressed ROTI's gross profit margin.

"However, consistently the company is able to increase productivity and operational efficiency," he said.

Furthermore, the total assets of the Sari Roti producer until the end of December 2021 amounted to IDR 4.13 trillion, consisting of current assets of IDR 1.28 trillion and non-current assets of IDR 2.84 trillion. Meanwhile, the liability post amounted to IDR 1.44 trillion.
