Bulog Will Salurkan Rice SPHP To Modern Retail

JAKARTA - Perum Bulog stated that the Stableization of Supply and Food Price (SPHP) rice will soon be present in the modern market. This is to suppress the increase in rice prices.

The leader of Perum Bulog Aceh Regional Office, Irsan Nasution, said that continuing to intensify the distribution of SPHP rice to retailers to be sold to final consumers, did not exceed the retail price (HET), which was Rp9,950 per kilogram (KG).

"We will also distribute this in modern retail," said the Head of Perum Bulog for the Aceh Regional Office, Irsan Nasution, quoting Antara, Saturday, February 18.

He explained that the rice distributed by Bulog in the current SPHP program is physically and visually classified as premium rice at medium prices.

He said the food task force for the Aceh Police, Aceh Disperindag, BI, BPS, Food Service, Aceh Regional Secretariat Related Service, POM Hall and other relevant agencies had also checked the sale of the rice on the market.

Irsan Nasution also explained that SPHP rice is also available in 5 kilograms in retailers so that people can buy at affordable prices.

"God willing, in the near future or the end of this month, Bulog rice in the SPHP program will be available in modern retail in 5 kg with prices not above HET," he said.

He said that since the program was implemented in January until now, his party has distributed 8,200 tons to the market in an effort to stabilize rice prices in the market.

He added that the Food Task Force and the team reminded sales players (experts and distributors) not to misuse SPHP rice and not to sell it to consumers above HET.
