JAKARTA - PT Solo Manufacturing Kreasi (Esemka car manufacturer) for the first time appeared at the 2023 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) automotive exhibition at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, on Thursday, February 16.

In the exhibition, Esemka introduced her latest product Bima EV consisting of the Cargo Van and Passenger Van variants.

President Director of PT Solo Manufacturing, Eddy Wirajaya, said that the introduction of electric cars at IIMS 2023 is expected to contribute to accelerating the transition process from conventional cars (internal Combustion Engine) to a more environmentally friendly Electric Vehicle (EV).

"We are proud to be present at the big event at IIMS by presenting electric vehicle (EV) products. Hopefully this can be a contribution to the government's program for the blue sky and also environmentally friendly," said Eddy at the IIMS 2023 exhibition.

"As well as having an economical impact on users in terms of small and medium enterprises for multifunction to the variants of vehicles we have," he added.

The two Esemka Bima EV variants have a length dimension of 4,495 meters, a width of 1,680 mm, and a height of 1,990 mm with a wheelbase of 2,925 mm.

Bima EV Passenger Van is capable of accommodating 11 passengers and Bima EV Cargo Van has two seats for drivers and front passengers.

These two cars are equipped with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with a TM4018 code and are capable of generating a maximum power of 75kW and a maximum torque of 165 Nm.

The power comes from electric motors by driving the rear wheels through 1st reduce gear.

The Bima EV is also equipped with a Ternary Lithium electric battery with a capacity of 49.1 kWh with a voltage of 350.4 V.

The battery itself can be charged with a quick charge system (DC) for 1 hour and slow charge (AC) for up to 8 hours. The battery can be used to drive up to 300 km on a single charge.

Bima EV Passenger Van is also equipped with a double AC. Meanwhile, Blind Van Cargo has a single blower.

In addition, Bima EV 1.3 is also equipped with electric power steering and air conditioning.

Esemka Bima EV is sold at a price of IDR 530 million for the Cargo Van variant, while the passenger van version with 11 seats costs IDR 540 million.
