Micro KUR Is Proposed To Flower 0 Percent For Micro Business Actors

JAKARTA - SOE Minister Erick Thohir proposed a zero percent loan interest for micro-enterprises in Indonesia.

"Upaya untuk penurunan bunga pinjaman bagi pelaku usaha ultra micro, kita mengusulkan tentu ekstrem yakni bunga nol persen," ujar Erick dalam Rapat Kerja bersama Komisi VI DPR, dikutip dari Antara, Senin 13 Februari.

According to him, the proposal related to zero percent loan interest has been submitted to the Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI).

"This has also received direct support from the government, especially Mr. President Joko Widodo because there are already limited meetings," he said.

It's just a matter of how SOEs, continued Erick, can push the zero percent interest rate into reality.

"Don't let the impression that big business actors get loan interest is much cheaper than ultra micro business actors. This is what we are trying to balance," he said.

Previously, Erick Thohir said that SOEs ensured that the businesses of MSME and ultra-micro actors received appropriate financing equipped with assistance that was no less important.

He also revealed that Ultra Micro Holding has made a positive contribution to improving the community's economy. President Jokowi's government focuses on how this people's economy surgery can be the right platform.

Erick Thohir said he was happy to hear the stories of the ultra micro customers who were here, how BRI, Pegadaian and PNM could boost their lives.
