JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) shared procedures for shifting PLN's electricity meter when customers were about to renovate the house.

It is known that the electric meter or kWh meter is an important device in supporting activities at home. This PLN-owned device that is deposited in a consumer's home serves to measure the use of electrical energy at home.

PLN Executive Vice President Corporate Communication & TJSL Gregorius Adi Trianto said the first step that must be taken is to report through the PLN Mobile application or to the nearest PLN service office.

He emphasized that consumers are prohibited from moving their own electrical meter directly without official reporting, of course this is related to the safety of electrical installations.

"This report must be made officially to PLN, do not be shifted or transferred by yourself or through an installation service because the electricity meter is an asset belonging to PLN," said Gregorius to the media, Thursday, February 9.

After the official report is made, PLN officers will immediately conduct a survey to the consumer location.

From the results of the survey, PLN will submit an answer to the customer's request, complete with the costs charged for the transfer of installations and kWh Meter.

The costs that must be incurred vary depending on the amount of replacement of the type of material required according to the survey results.

Later, all costs incurred are not allowed to be paid directly to officers, but instead using an official registration number that can be paid through PLN Mobile, Payment Point Online Bank (PPOB) or other marketplaces.

"Everything is easier with the PLN Mobile application, consumers simply report through Complaints and choose the problem of kWh Meter postpaid and prepaid services and simply include a description regarding requests for the transfer of kWh Meter at home," concluded Gregorius.
