The Directorate General of Fiscal Balance (DJPK) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) has ensured that the direct cash assistance (BLT) allocation from village funds will be right on target to the recipient community in 2023.

Director General of Fiscal Balance Luky Alfirman said that he would record prospective BLT recipients with the target of extreme poor families based on data on the Monitoring of the Acceleration of Extreme Poverty Reduction (P3KE) from the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture of Indonesia.

"For the accuracy of BLT recipients, we will use updated data from the P3KE Kemenko PMK," said Luky at the DJPK Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission XI DPR RI, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, February 8.

He said his party allocated a minimum of 10 percent and a maximum of 25 percent of village funds or IDR 17.0 trillion for social protection programs in the form of BLT. In total, DGTK allocated IDR 70 trillion for village funds in 2023.

"We allocated Rp70 trillion, Rp68 trillion based on the previous fiscal year, in 2022 we have an additional allocation of Rp2 trillion,"

In addition to BLT, he conveyed that 2023 village funds are prioritized for food and animal security programs at least 20 percent or IDR 13.6 trillion, as well as village government operational funds of a maximum of 3 percent or IDR 2.04 trillion.

Furthermore, other priorities for health programs include handling stunting and capital participation to village-owned enterprises (BUMD).

In 2023, the DGTK will improve the village fund budget policy by taking into account the needs of each village, performance based, and synergy in the use of funds through assessing village performance.

In 2022, the distribution of village funds will reach Rp. 67.9 trillion, or a decrease of 5.5 percent yoy, from the previous Rp. 71.9 trillion in 2021.

In addition, the DGTK reported that the distribution of transfer funds to the regions (TKD) reached IDR 816.2 trillion in 2022, or an increase of 3.9 percent year on year (yoy) compared to IDR 785.7 trillion in 2021.
