Kadin Focuss On Empowering MSMEs This Year, Arsjad Rasjid: They Were ABLE To Opportunize The Indonesian Economy During The Pandemicanda

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry focuses on empowering micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in 2023.

Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Arsjad Rasjid in Palembang, South Sumatra, Tuesday, February 7, said that his party in 2023 focused the program because MSMEs are the wheels of the national economy.

"MSMEs need to continue to be empowered because it is the foundation and basis of the national economy because in 2020 when Indonesia was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, MSMEs were able to support our economy so that it became our reason to focus on empowering MSMEs this year," he said in his remarks at the inauguration of the South Sumatra Chamber of Commerce and Industry management board, quoted from Antara.

In the empowerment program, he said, MSMEs were given assistance such as technology transfer, access to financing, and also expanding market access.

In addition, he said that the synergy between Kadin and the government was very important in increasing economic strength.

He also asked the South Sumatra Chamber of Commerce and Industry to support and succeed in the three priority programs of Kadin in 2023, namely the 2045 Golden Indonesia Roadmap, the 2023 ASEAN Business Advisory Council, and the Kadin Impact Award.

South Sumatra Provincial Secretary Supriono said the role of entrepreneurs is expected to be maximized in carrying out community empowerment efforts formally or formally.

"I hope Kadin can increase his cooperation with the government in the midst of the current economic slowdown," he said.

Then, he hopes that Kadin can be an example for other organizations that can encourage improving the community's economy by helping the government in overcoming various problems related to the economy in South Sumatra.

Chairman of the South Sumatra Chamber of Commerce and Industry Affandi Uji said that his party is ready to become the locomotive of economic progress in South Sumatra in collaboration with every sector in the government.
