JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) said that currently, special supervision of 13 insurance companies that have the potential to be less good has been reduced to 11.

This was stated by the Chief Executive of OJK IKNB Supervisory Ogi Prastomiyono at the Non-Bank Financial Industry Policy Development and Supervision Press Conference (IKNB) monitored online, on Thursday, February 2.

"Regarding this insurance supervision, there are two, namely normal and special supervision. Now, there are two companies that have been successfully rehabilitated and returned to normal supervision," he said.

Ogi said three of the eleven insurance companies included in special supervision, namely PT Asuransi Jiwa Kresna (Kresna Life or PT AJK), PT Asuransi Jiwa Adisarana Wanartha (Wanaartha Life / WAL), and PT Asuransi Jiwa Bersama (AJB) Bumiputera 1912.

However, Ogi was reluctant to mention the rest.

"Once again, I can't say his name," said Ogi.

He conveyed that there was one company that had revoked its business license, namely WanaArtha Life.

In addition, there is one insurance company that is under special supervision, but cannot be named.

"In the current position, there are 11 special supervisions for insurance companies, but we will review the development from time to time and we will determine the status of supervision in particular," added Ogi.
