Mandiri Investment Forum 2023: Ajang Promosi Investasi Besar RI Gaet Investor

JAKARTA PT Bank Mandiri Tbk. officially held the 2023 Mandiri Investment Forum (MIF) which is the largest investment promotion event in Indonesia. This event is expected to be an important space for the government and the business world to attract strategic investors.

President Joko Widodo in his remarks said that the government's 2023 MIF in carrying out infrastructure development is a special attraction for investors to enter.

"We must be optimistic but vigilant. Indonesia's economy is supported by various growth opportunities from various potential sectors, including consumption, tourism, and downstream industries," he said on Wednesday, February 1.

According to the President, Indonesia already has a number of important factors to be able to be more agile in attracting investors.

"Political and security stability is maintained, our economic fundamentals are considered good, as well as Indonesia's leadership in the G20 last year and now being the Chair of ASEAN is proof of our capabilities," he said.

On the same occasion, Bank Mandiri President Director Darmawan Junaidi stated that his party was fully aware of these efforts and was strongly committed to supporting the government.

"The 2023 MIF is the most suitable event for potential investors to obtain information updates regarding investment opportunities in Indonesia. Through the forum, we are ready to contribute to continue strengthening economic growth amid the increasing risk of a global recession," he said.

Similarly, Bank Mandiri Treasury & International Banking Director Panji Irawan said the company would support a conducive investment climate in the country.

The commitment is evidenced by the expansion of Bank Mandiri's foreign office network (KLN) which is now present in Shanghai (China), Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, London (England), and Cayman Island and Dili (Timor Leste).

"Not only facilitating Indonesia's corporate interests abroad, the presence of Bank Mandiri KLN also plays a role in bridging global corporate needs that have or will do business in Indonesia, for example through administrative services or trade facilitators," said Panji.

For information, the Mandiri Investment (MIR) 2023 is claimed to be attended by more than 20,000 participants from within and outside the country, including more than 8,500 foreign investors who will participate in the 2023 MIF which this time is being carried out in a hybrid manner.
