Joining 7 Legacy Programs In ASEAN-BAC 2023, Chairman Of Kadin: Alhamdulillah All Accepted

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) which simultaneously leads the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) 2023 has started seven legacy programs covering five priority issues in the leadership of the ASEAN-BAC 2023.

These seven legacy programs consist of three digitalization sectors that focus on fintech and e-trade, such as the ASEAN QR Code, ASEAN P2P Loan Platform and Wiki Wirausaha, then legacy programs with sustainability priorities, such as the ASEAN Net Zero Hub and Carbon Center of Excellence, as well as health legacy, namely the ASEAN One Shot Campaign campaign and in the food security sector through food security programs with inclusive closed-loop systems for the agricultural sector in the region.

"For digitization, we bring the name Asean QR Code with the hope that ASEAN will share and be able to be used in ASEAN. We are collaborating with all central banks in ASEAN and the alignment with Bank Indonesia," said Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry who is also Chairman of ASEAN-BAC 2023 Arsjad Rasjid at Shangri-La Hotel, Central Jakarta, on Monday, January 30.

Not only that, Kadin also introduced P2P ASEAN as a digitalized payment system.

There is also WIKI Wirausaha which is expected to be a solution to trade facilitation in the Southeast Asia region, especially for MSMEs.

Meanwhile, the ASEAN Net Zero Hub will provide assistance to the private sector in decarbonizing and achieving net zero goals at the ASEAN level.

There is also the Carbon Center of Excellence which is a catalyst platform for global collaboration in achieving Net Zero initiatives and aims to empower business actors to be able to take advantage of the potential for growth in carbon trading through the formation of carbon knowledge recovery and best practice sharing centers.

There is also an ASEAN One Shot Campaign campaign that aims to create a permanent regional vaccination program, utilizing the potential of the next generation of vaccines through the expansion of manufacturing capacity and clinical research, supported by digital infrastructure, to improve preparedness for the pandemic in the future and the resilience of the health system.

"This will be achieved through collaboration with many that unites the government, industry, and global health organizations," said Arsjad.

Finally, said Arsjad, the food security program is expected to create support for the agricultural sector, especially MSMEs and farmers, to become part of the global supply chain.

"These things are very important to be relieved that Indonesia brought to the ASEAN level. We have explained to all members and thank God all of this can be accepted and can be a legacy that Indonesia has brought to ASEAN," he concluded.
