JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) signed a memorandum of understanding with Visa to improve financial skills and literacy for MSMEs in Indonesia using the Practice Money Skills module.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Visa Worldwide is about the provision and development of digital financial skills for Indonesian MSMEs.

The module is a skill education and financial literacy guide from Visa which will be distributed to various MSMEs under the guidance of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Visa will also be involved in various digital financial skills programs that will be implemented by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other partners.

Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Arsjad Rasjid said, one of the keys to helping MSMEs develop and advance to class, namely by increasing digital financial inclusion.

According to Arsjad, by having a large workforce absorption capability, namely 97 percent and dominating 99 percent of Indonesia's business structure, MSMEs have an important role in the Indonesian economic catalyst.

"It is hoped that this collaboration can equalize financial inclusion and improve digital skills, especially for MSMEs," said Arsjad in a press statement, Monday, January 30.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Visa Worldwide Indonesia Riko Abdurrahman said that his party is committed to continuing to help improve the financial management capacity of the Indonesian people, especially MSME actors as one of the pillars of the economy in Indonesia.
