JAKARTA - The Banjarmasin Customs Office, South Kalimantan released the initial export of damar stones to India, which is the production of PT Global Utama Kalimantan from Kuala Pembuang I, Seruyan Regency, Central Kalimantan.

"We are certainly proud of the successful export of damar stones carried out by this micro, small and medium enterprise (MSMEs)," said Head of the Banjarmasin Customs Office Edy Susetyo in Banjarmasin, quoted from Antara, Monday, January 30.

Symbolically, Edy handed over the export service memorandum (NPE) to the exporter when releasing the departure of the goods to be sent by sea at the Banjarmasin Trisakti Port Container Terminal.

NPE is a note issued by officials examining Customs Office documents to protect the entry of goods to be exported to the customs area or loading it to transport facilities.

Edy hopes that more MSMEs in the regions can increase their business and penetrate the international market to accelerate exports.

This is an effort by the Ministry of Finance through the Customs Office to revive and increase the role of MSMEs as one of the driving forces for national economic growth.

The Banjarmasin Customs Office in the ranks of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) of South Kalimantan (Kalbagsel) is also committed to continuing to provide assistance to business actors in the regions so that they can be exported.

It is known, damar stones are types of gemstones made of tree resi that have turned into fossils.

Rocks that usually have transparent colors and are like renic bubbles on their inside are often used as accessories such as rings and necklaces for wearers.
