Sambangi Entrepreneurs In Cikarang, Sri Mulyani Featurs Taxes Not But Obligations

BEKASI - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani led a group of Ministry of Finance to meet a number of business actors in the Cikarang Industrial Estate, Bekasi on Friday, January 27.

During the visit, the state treasurer said that the government was committed to supporting the activities of the business world as one of the pillars of the Indonesian economy. He also mentioned a number of incentives that have been disbursed over the last three years of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The government will continue to strengthen its economy, especially by optimizing fiscal instruments," he said when approaching the production facility owned by PT Samsung Indonesia.

The state treasurer explained that the revocation of PPKM at the end of last year provided a greater opportunity to boost productivity.

Therefore, the Minister of Finance reminded business actors not to deny in fulfilling obligations for the development of the country.

"We are your partner. We must not be a burden, and paying taxes is not a burden but an obligation," he stressed.

VOI noted that the realization of 2022 tax revenue was known to be IDR 1,716.8 trillion or an increase of 115.6 percent from the APBN ceiling of IDR 1,485 trillion.

The incision extends the slick record of tax collection in 2021 which reached Rp1,547.8 trillion, equivalent to 107.1 percent of the target.

The Minister of Finance himself often said that the brilliant achievement was driven by two factors, namely the windfall revenue and also the recovery of the business world sector which was of great character for the economy.
