JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General of Housing in 2023 has determined that there are at least eight strategic issues in the housing sector that will be implemented.

"There are eight strategic housing issues that will be carried out by the Directorate General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR this year," said Director General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR, Iwan Suprijanto during a Hearing Meeting (RDP) of Commission V DPR RI with the Directorate General of Housing in the Meeting Room of Commission V DPR, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 25.

The meeting, which was held in a hybrid manner, discussed the Evaluation of the Implementation of the 2022 State Budget and the 2023 Working Program of the Directorate General of Housing. Iwan explained that a number of strategic issues in the housing sector that require special attention include first support for the implementation of the 2023 National thematic and Directive activities, secondly Operational, Maintenance, Optimization, and Rehabilitation (OPOR) activities, especially Maintenance and Special Rehabilitation for assets that have not been handed over to local governments and related ministries/institutions.

The third is the Handling of Extreme Poverty (PKE) and Stunting. The fourth issue is support for slum handling through integrated area handling through the integration of housing and creating work programs.

While the fifth issue is support for the provision of Hunian in the State Capital (IKN). The sixth issue is the handling of special houses for the provision of disaster-affected houses including government programs, border areas, and 3T.

The seventh is support for the development of priority areas in the PUPR sector to support the 2020 RPJMN target 2024 and the National Directive. And the eighth is the handling of the MBR house backlog in order to achieve the One Million Houses Program (PSR).

"Based on the Budget Implementation List (DIPA), the Main Directorate General of Housing for Fiscal Year 2023, the budget for the Directorate General of Housing this year is IDR 6.976 trillion. This will be used for a number of housing programs for people in Indonesia," he said.

The targets and budgets per sector, added Iwan, include Management Support and other technical tasks worth Rp. 0.507 T, consisting of operational and non-operational expenditures of Rp. 0.305 T and other support of Rp. 0.202 T. Furthermore, for the construction of flats worth Rp. 2,002 T for the construction of 5,347 units of flats, including the budget for multi years contract (MYC) activities in 2022-2023 and the OPOR program as many as 59 towers and settlements for construction workers (HPK) in IKN as many as 22 Towers.

The special house construction budget (Rusus) is worth IDR 0.891 T for the construction of Rusus 3,362 units, including the Central Sulawesi Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Project (CSRRP) loan, OPOR activities as many as 360 units and the construction of the Ministerial Tax House in IKN by MYC 2022 2024. For the distribution of Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) worth IDR 3,194 T for the assistance of self-help houses as many as 145,000 units through the BSPS scheme by also supporting the Handling of Extreme Poverty (PKE).

Public house infrastructure, facilities and utilities (PSU) assistance worth IDR 0.383 T for the construction of a low-income housing PSU (MBR) of 27.825 units. The 2023 Housing Directorate General's ceiling of IDR 6.976 T consists of Murni Rupiah (RM) of IDR 6.965 T and Murni Non Rupiah (Non RM) of IDR 10.38 M, with details of the ceiling per program including the Management Support Program of IDR 0.305 T consisting of Operational and Salary budgets, as well as Non Operational.
