JAKARTA - Pertamina Gas Subholding, PT PGN Tbk signed an integrity pact against securing national strategic projects, namely the construction of a gas network (gas network) for households.

The signing of the integrity pact was witnessed by Director D (Security of Strategic Development) of the Attorney General's Office Hari Setiyono, Head of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office Reda Manthovani, and Director of Infrastructure and Technology PGN Achmad Muchtasyar in Jakarta, Tuesday 24 January.

Achmad Muchtasyar, in his statement, quoted from Antara Wednesday, January 25, explained that this integrity pact was a technical clue to the implementation of strategic development security (PPS) for development projects in various regions including Cilegon City, Tangerang City, Tangerang Regency, West Jakarta City, Central Jakarta City, East Jakarta City, Bandar Lampung City, Karawang, Cirebon, Bogor, and Bekasi.

PGN as the executor of gas network development, works professionally, proportionally, transparently, objectively, and in accordance with applicable laws.

The Attorney General's Office will oversee and oversee the work on the jargas strategic project for the household.

According to Achmad, the Attorney General's Office is expected to help achieve the target according to development goals.

"The Attorney General's Office and PGN are making preventive efforts to potential threats, disturbances, obstacles and challenges in gas network projects, including licensing or intervention from certain parties to obtain personal benefits," he said.

In 2023, PGN will build 400,000 house connections (SR) throughout Indonesia.

This development continues the construction of jargas using PGN's internal investment funds, which smoothly require support from both the community and the government.

"Technically in the field, the construction of jargas infrastructure passes through open land and crosses community yards. Therefore, intense coordination and smooth between PGN and local governments are needed regarding land utilization permits. We also build communication with the community and NGOs to equalize vision to support the development of gas networks," explained Achmad.

PGN also conducts outreach to the community and third parties affected in connection with the construction of natural gas pipelines and gas lines for households.

PGN's communication activities with the surrounding community are expected to anticipate potential disturbances that could hinder the construction of gas lines.

"The spirit of building jargas for households is realized by maximizing supply and infrastructure starting from distribution pipes, MRS, to gas meters that measure the use of gas for each customer," he said.

Achmad continued that this strategic development security integrity pact is very important considering the large number of assets and services used in the construction of gas lines.

He also ensured that all parties involved in PGN Groups and partners in the development of gas lines, would uphold transparency, so as to avoid corrupt practices, collusion, and nepotism.
