JAKARTA - The Director General of Oil and Gas, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia, Tutuka Ariadji, visited the South Sumatra oil and gas area.

On the same occasion, the Head of the South Sumatra Representative Operations Department, Bambang Dwi Djanuarto, explained that to pursue the lifting target in 2023 in the South Sumbagsel Region which was set in the 2023 State Budget at 70,489 barrels of oil per day and 1,441 million cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD).

To pursue this target, he continued, efforts will be made, among others, by drilling exploration or developing 80 development wells, reworking as many as 113 wells and maintenance wells as 2,257 wells.

"There is also an LTRO-1B project at Medco Grissik Ltd which is expected to be completed this year so that it can increase gas production by 45 MMSCFD," he explained.

The South Sumatra KKKS, he continued, will also optimize the planned shutdown and try not to carry out an unplanned shutdown to pursue the 2023 lifting target.

"To increase oil and gas reserves in the Sumbagsel region, there will be exploration drilling of 12 wells and 7 seismic surveys in 2023," he concluded.
