Triliunan Asset Jiwasraya Tak Laku Dilelang, Apa Ada?

JAKARTA - Director of Auction for DJKN Kemenkeu Joko Prihanto said that the Jiwasraya asset auction conducted in November 2022 did not provide maximum results. According to him, the auction only resulted in a small portion of the income from the entire goods being auctioned.

"The Jiwasraya auction is divided into two packages, so there are packages of heavy equipment and ships and there are other stock packages," he told reporters via digital channels, Friday, January 20.

Joko explained that the first package had sold in full with a value of Rp9 billion, while the shares were still empty of buyers.

"The limit value reaches IDR 3.48 trillion," he said.

Joko explained that his party had identified several obstacles as to why the Jiwasraya asset auction had not been successful. The first is a value that is too high.

"Because this money is needed a lot of up to trillions. If it's a transfer, maybe trillions of branch banks are taken as well as heavy," he said.

Second, the discrepancy in the request of prospective buyers with applicable regulations.

They asked for a longer repayment deadline, such as two weeks or even one month. Maybe because it involves a lot of funds too. But the rules have to be five working days so it can't," he said.

To note, this Jiwasraya asset auction is only done for the first time. Joko also ensured that his party would again hold an auction so that the assets could sell and become a source of revenue for the state.

"We will reschedule for the next auction," he said.

For information, the Ministry of Finance in 2022 has successfully conducted an auction of IDR 35 trillion. This figure is higher than the target set at IDR 30 trillion.

Meanwhile, the value of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) collected from auction activities throughout last year exceeded Rp850 billion. This amount shot up from the realization in 2021 which amounted to Rp726 billion.
