Wamenkeu Suashasil: Tahun 2023 Jadi Kesempatan Pencari Sumber Pendanaan Baru

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Finance (Wamenkeu) Suahasil Nazara said that in 2023 it will be an opportunity to find new sources of state revenue because this year, Indonesia will enter and continue recovery.

"There are at least four new sources of revenue, including downstream industry, the use of domestic products that have high local content, MSMEs, and a green economy," Suahasil said at the Coordination Meeting of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC), quoted from Antara, Monday, January 16.

He explained that state revenues have two important functions, namely to be used as state spending to the community and to encourage economic activities through providing revenue incentives.

The two revenue functions, both carried out by the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) and DJBC, will contribute to economic growth, poverty, unemployment reduction, gap reduction, and others.

Suahasil also thanked all DJBC ranks for their performance in 2022.

The realization of customs and excise revenues temporarily in 2022 will reach IDR 317.8 trillion or 122.2 percent of the target of IDR 299 trillion and grow 18 percent from the same period the previous year (year-on-year / yoy) which was valued at IDR 269.2 trillion.

The year 2022 is a year full of challenges, however, that year can be passed well and signs of economic recovery are starting to appear and continue.

The Deputy Minister of Finance also asked all levels of DJBC to continue to monitor the economic development through the implementation of tasks related to customs and excise.

In addition, he also mentioned the foreign exchange of export products (DHE), the downward trend in the price of natural resources such as coal, CPO, and oil which will have an impact on acceptance, as well as other issues related to DJBC's duties at the meeting.

"Ini beberapa pemikiran yang saya rasa bagus untuk dipikirkan. Tentu, di kon context pertemuan ini kita bukan hanya bicara tentang substuk ekonominya, tetapi berbagai macam manajemen, integritas mengenai fasilitas, kelengkapan untuk staf, dan jajaran," ujarnya.
