JAKARTA - PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya in collaboration with Perum Bulog continues to strive to maintain supply stability and food prices, especially rice. The distribution of medium rice for the Supply and Food Price Stabilization program (SPHP) in DKI Jakarta was carried out at the BULOG Office, Regional Offices of DKI Jakarta and Banten on Friday, January 13.

"We together with Perum Bulog have collaborated to distribute medium rice in the Supply Stabilization and Food Price program, where in the period October 2022 to January 2023, more than 9,500 tons have been distributed through 39 traders at the Cipinang Rice Main Market (PIBC)," he said in a written statement, Monday, January 16.

Pamrihadi explained that the Food Station continues to record and monitor the price of Medium rice in DKI Jakarta, where the price of medium rice still shows an increase in the period October 2022 to January 2023 is recorded as follows:

- The average price of rice for Medium rice at PIBC in October 2022 until January 2023 increased by around 10-11 percent, so that the price was at IDR 10,225 per kg, which if sold in the derivative market the price could reach IDR 10,600 per kg. Meanwhile, the HET (highest retail price) of medium rice is IDR 9,450 per kg.

"With the distribution of medium rice in collaboration with Perum Bulog, the selling price at the PIBC trader level is Rp. 8,900 per kg and Rp. 9,300 per kg to the community in derivative markets, so it is hoped that DKI Jakarta residents will be able to enjoy medium rice at a price of Rp. 9,300 per kg," he said.

Pamrihadi said, entering the beginning of 2023 to control the price of medium rice in DKI Jakarta, the Food Station submitted to the National Food Agency and Perum Bulog, so that the distribution of medium rice in the SPHP program, especially in DKI Jakarta, can be done 1 door, namely through PIBC (Food Station) with a volume of 5,000 tons per week.

"For the distribution of SPHP rice, the distribution mechanism is carried out through one door, this is proposed with the consideration that it will facilitate the monitoring of the distribution of medium rice in the SPHP program to the community and not be used by parties who want to take advantage of more than the increase in medium rice prices," he explained.

Currently, there are around 86 traders in PIBC who already have distribution partners in derivative markets that can come into direct contact with end-level consumers. So it is hoped that this program can be massively and can be effective on target to stabilize the price of medium rice.
