JAKARTA - Fintech P2P Lending Acceleran managed to distribute total business loan distribution to MSME players amounting to IDR 3 trillion throughout 2022. This achievement was recorded to have grown by more than 55 percent compared to the same realization in the previous year.

"This growth is supported by an increase in the average distribution of business loans every month, which reaches a range of up to Rp350 billion," said Accelerator Group & Co-Founder Ivan Tambunan in his statement, Friday, January 13.

Ivan said that the continuous growth for Accelerators every year is very encouraging, especially in the midst of challenging economic conditions. If cumulatively, Ivan explained, Accelerator had distributed a total business loan of almost IDR 7 trillion by the end of 2022.

"Currently, we are supported by more than 200 thousand individual loan fund providers (retail lenders) and dozens of institutional lenders who have distributed business loans to more than 4,000 MSMEs throughout Indonesia," said Ivan.

Ivan conveyed that the national distribution of Acceleran's business loans in 2022 was also strengthened by an increase outside Java which managed to soar 35 percent compared to the same realization in 2021. For penetration with the five largest regions for business loans outside Java, including West Kalimantan, Riau, Bali, Riau Islands, and the largest were North Sumatra.

Accelerators will continue to maintain a sustainable business loan business while continuing to carry out prudent assessments, see what financial capacity, and credit history are like. Until the end of 2022, the total Accelerator cumulative NPL remains at a low level, at 0.04 percent of total business loan distribution and we are optimistic that it will continue to be below 1 percent considering that almost all loan campaigns have been protected by credit insurance that protects 99 percent of the underprivileged loan principal," Ivan said.

In addition, Ivan said, an encouraging thing also happened to Acceleran's new financing product aimed at the consumer sector named employee loan. According to him, throughout 2022, Acceleran's employee loan product has disbursed total loans of more than Rp55 billion, or an increase of 82 percent compared to the same realization in 2021.

"Employee Loan is working with employers, so it is validated whether the person is actually an employee and how much is his salary. Until now, Accelerator has collaborated with 93 companies for employee loan products with a total NPL still low at 0.3 percent, so we are optimistic that this product will continue to grow," added Ivan.
