JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) targets the annual Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Filipina East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) which will be held in February to be able to produce business transactions that can contribute to national economic growth.

He also hopes that the activity, which will be held on February 21-23, 2023, can pocket 20-30 percent of the total logistical economic potential (integrated) or better than during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The total economy is rotating, when we talk about the logistics of the ecosystem, it is no less than 2,000 trillion, both from maritime, meaning from the sea transportation mode, its air, even land. Well, this is approximately 2,000 trillion. We are also not too grandiose, at least better than the pandemic, yes," Akbar told reporters at the Kadin Tower, Jakarta, Thursday, January 12.

According to Akbar, the target is able to provide good hope and contribution, namely above revenue income in the previous 3-4 years.

"So, we from the logistics agency Kadin are very optimistic that this generic and non-general growth can boost national economic growth, and become our trigger at the beginning of this year can revive hopes from the government," he said.
