JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah said, in a closed working meeting, Commission XI of the DPR asked her to expand dialogue and discussions in the process of drafting a government regulation (PP) derived from a Government Regulation in Lieu of the Law (Perppu) on Job Creation.

"Actually, they hope that later in the process of determining the PP to expand dialogue and discussions and they also want to be invited to discuss together about the concerns that will be regulated in PP," he told reporters after a working meeting with the DPR at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 11.

Ida said, the PP which will be determined with the issuance of the Job Creation Perppu at the end of last December includes PP which discusses wages and electricity transfer.

"Concern will be regulated in the PP on Wages and PP on outsourcing or power transfer," he explained.

In this meeting, Ida said that he focused on explaining the Employment cluster in the Government Regulation in Lieu of the Job Creation Act (Perppu).

"I explained about Perppu Number 2 of 2022, in particular I entered the employment cluster. So they (DPR Commission IX) asked to explain about the labor cluster in the Perppu," he said.

Indah said, the wage calculation formula in the Job Creation Perppu was a response to the public's aspirations as outlined in the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) Number 18 of 2022 concerning the Determination of Minimum Wages in 2023.

"Initially, we have responded more from absorption of public aspirations. That the formula in the Job Creation Law for the minimum wage cannot be received 100 percent, so there is a change in Permen No. 18 of 2022," he explained.
