The Face Of Sumigah, Children Who Were Victims Of The Cianjur Earthquake, Welcoming School Equipment Assistance From PLN

JAKARTA - Raut's happy face radiated from the faces of children and residents affected by the Cianjur earthquake after receiving school supplies in the form of uniforms, shoes, bags, books, and stationery.

This school supplies assistance came from the PLN Disaster Task Force, the Main Distribution Unit of South Sumatra, Jambi, and Bengkulu (UID S2JB). The children are no longer worried about returning to school at the beginning of this new semester.

One of the children affected by the Cianjur earthquake, Ayu, could not hide her feelings of happiness when she received a school aid package from the PLN UID S2JB Task Force Team.

"It's great to have a new bag with tools for school," said Ayu sumringah.

A happy expression was also conveyed by the parents of residents affected by the Cianjur earthquake, Badru, who felt relieved by the assistance.

Badru said the earthquake that rocked Cianjur on November 21 not only destroyed the building of his house, but also buried items, including children's school supplies. Therefore, many children's school supplies were not found.

"Now, the children who want to go to school are very happy, because they can get new clothes, complete with bags, shoes, and stationery," he said.

He also expressed his gratitude to PLN for the help of the school equipment. The children affected by the Cianjur earthquake are now ready to return to learning at the beginning of the new semester.

"We thank you very much, hopefully it will be a charity of worship and blessings," he concluded.

Meanwhile, General Manager of PLN UID S2JB Amris Adnan said 100 packages of school equipment assistance to Cianjur residents were a form of PLN's concern for the education of children who were victims of the Cianjur earthquake.

The assistance, which is the result of voluntary donations from PLN UID S2JB employees, is expected to ease the burden on residents affected by the Cianjur earthquake.

According to Amris, even in the midst of a post-disaster recovery period, education must continue.

He also explained that not only school supplies, his party also handed over aid for goods in the form of suitable clothes, pregnant women's equipment, and baby equipment.

"PLN is committed to supporting the post-disaster recovery of Cianjur residents," said Amris in his statement, Saturday, January 7.

Furthermore, said Amris, PLN also strengthens the integration of the aid system for disaster-affected communities through the Disaster Task Force, so that the distribution of aid can be more directed and economic recovery can be carried out more quickly.

"Through this task force, PLN wants to increase the role of SOEs for Indonesia," he added.
