JAKARTA - The Ministry of PUPR will soon complete the implementation of post-disaster residential development (huntap) in Central Sulawesi Province (Sulteng).

This assurance was realized by the implementation of the ground-breaking of the Post-Disaster Huntap Development in Central Sulawesi Province Phase 2B in Palu, on Thursday, January 5.

"The Ministry of PUPR through the Directorate General of Housing is committed to completing the implementation of post-disaster huntap development in Central Sulawesi Province in accordance with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 8 of 2020 concerning the Year of Settlement of Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Post-Disaster Earthquakes, Tsunamis, and Liquidity in Central Sulawesi Province," said Director General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR, Iwan Suprijanto in his press statement, as quoted on Saturday, January 7.

According to Iwan, completing the rehabilitation and reconstruction after the earthquake, tsunami, and liquefaction disasters in Central Sulawesi Province is one of the obligations that must be carried out wholeheartedly.

"This activity is not a project, but a humanitarian mission that must be carried out wholeheartedly. Therefore, it is hoped that the construction of this post-disaster huntap must be of the right quality, right cost, and on time," he said.

To support the implementation of the development, said Iwan, control and supervision must always be carried out comprehensively by appointing a team to control the quality of panel production and inspect the structure of a Simple Healthystan House (Risha).

"Therefore, we have appointed a special control team for the Development of Special Houses which has been ratified through the Decree of the Directorate General of Housing Number 169 of 2022, one of which is tasked with ensuring the quality of post-disaster huntap development in Central Sulawesi Province," said Iwan.

"In addition, we also hope for the seriousness and commitment of the service provider, as well as the traffic management center (TMC) 2 to be able to complete the construction of the huntap in accordance with the existing contracts," he concluded.

For information, the construction of the huntap after the disaster in Central Sulawesi Province phase 2B will spend a budget of IDR 175,590,285,000 with contractor PT Adhi Karya.

This fee is needed to build 1,321 huntap units spread across three places, namely Tondo II Palu City with 1,055 units, South Sibalaya Sigi Regency with 120 units, and Proud Dusun two Sigi Regency with 146 units.

Meanwhile, for the 2C stage as many as 533 units, the 2D stage as many as 483 units, the 2E stage as many as 533 units, and the 2F stage as many as 471 units, with Central Sulawesi Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Project (CSRP) sources. Later, there will be 4,053 units to be built.

In addition to the implementation of the ground breaking activity, tree planting procession activities were also carried out in the Palu City Tondo II construction area Phase 2B as a sign of the start of development, while still implementing the applicable health protocols. Not only that, the 2B stage is also a marker of the start of the 2C, 2D, and 2E stages.
