JAKARTA The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) confirmed that the occupancy rate of hotels in Bali has increased in the November 2022 period.

Head of BPS Margo Yuwono said the condition was caused by the G20 Summit (KTT) in the middle of that month.

"TPK in Bali in November increased 2.63 percent," he said when answering questions from the media crew on Monday, January 2.

According to Margo, the occupancy book two months ago was at the level of 48.91 percent. "Meanwhile, in October the TPK hotel in Bali was 46.28 percent," he said.

Furthermore, Margo explained that the TPK of star hotels in Indonesia this year (January-November) is 54.41 percent. This figure is better than the same period in 2021 with 47.83 percent and also in the 2020 period of 37.48 percent.

Meanwhile, the non-star hotel TPK was recorded at 24.04 percent in the January to November 2022 period.

Although hotels in Bali are becoming a little more crowded because of the G20 Summit, the total number of foreign tourists (tourists) who came to Indonesia in the November period was less than October, which was 657,200 visits compared to 678,900 visits.

There are several factors that cause foreign tourists to decline. So there is indeed a special treatment for regular flights which is then limited. This is the reason why the level of foreign tourist visits has decreased in Bali," said Margo.
