JAKARTA - A total of 176,625 passenger movements are served by 15 airports managed by PT Angkasa Pura I at the peak of the 2023 New Year holiday homecoming flow which occurred on December 30, 2022 (H-2 New Year).

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura I Faik Fahmi said Angkasa Pura I also serves 1,598 aircraft movements at 15 airports managed.

"The number of passenger movements and aircraft movements at the peak of the 2023 New Year holiday homecoming flow experienced a fairly high growth compared to last year's record, each at 93 percent for passenger movement and 46 percent for aircraft movement," he said in an official statement, Monday, January 2.

Angkasa Pura I also recorded three airports with the highest number of passenger movements at the peak of the 2023 New Year holiday homecoming on December 30 (H-2 New Year), namely Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport with 59,728 passenger movements.

Then, followed by Juanda Airport Surabaya with 33,451 passenger movements, and Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar with 25,744 passenger movements.

"Since the operation of the Nataru Command Post on December 19, 2022, until January 31, 2022, we have recorded that we have served 2,411,858 passenger movements and 20,306 aircraft movements," he said.

Compared to the number of passenger and aircraft movements in the same period last year, said Faik, there was a growth of 75 percent for passenger movements and 39 percent for aircraft movements.

The top three airports with the highest total number of passenger movements in the period 19 to 31 December 2022 are I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport with a total of 735,187 passenger movements.

Then, Juanda Airport Surabaya with 462,510 passenger movements, and Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar with 372,674 passenger movements.

The top three airports with the most extra flight realizations on 19 to 31 December 2022 are I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport with the realization of 427 extra flights.

Then, Sentani Jayapura Airport and Juanda Airport Surabaya are in second place with the realization of 90 extra flights.
