Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno stated that the government supports the development of the western part of Bali with the construction of the Jembrana-Denpasar Toll Road infrastructure.

Based on estimates, the construction of toll road infrastructure between Jembrana-Denpasar is completed in 2025.

"We have to get ready because Jembrana will be passed by a toll road that will connect Denpasar and in 2025 it will be connected. So, we have to prepare a tourism ecosystem because everything will start moving to the western part of Bali," he said during a visit to Jembrana, Bali, as quoted in an official statement, reported by Antara, Saturday 31 December.

Sandiaga said the development of tourism and the creative economy (parekraf) in western Bali is one of the programs that will continue to be strengthened so that later the spread of tourists can be evenly distributed. In a sense, it is not only concentrated in eastern and southern Bali.

Currently, Bali is considered to be still the top of the mind of tourism destinations in the world. This is considered an opportunity that must be utilized optimally with the development of the western part of Bali.

"This is our optimism, so that the tourism ecosystem and the creative economy must be prepared here. This is our homework so that our recovery is more equitable and qualified and sustainable," said the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.

In 2023, it is targeted that domestic tourist visits (wisnus) and foreign tourists (tourists) will double.

For foreign tourists, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has the ambition to attract 7.4 million visits to Indonesia. Meanwhile, for foreign tourists, it reached the range of 1.2-1.4 billion movements.

"This must be addressed by all tourism and creative economy actors, do not miss it, we must prepare to open up business opportunities and of course large job opportunities," he said.
