JAKARTA State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (PKT) carry out the last pocketing ceremony for 2022 while marking the end of productive activities for this year.

PKT President Director Rahmad Pribadi said this activity was a symbol of the company's readiness to face the 2023 business year.

"We are committed to maintaining national food security through smooth production and distribution of fertilizers throughout Indonesia," he said in a written statement quoted on Thursday, December 29.

According to Rahmad, his party is ready to increase synergy with all parties in order to realize the goal of becoming the largest urea producer in Asia Pacific.

"The fertilizer of East Kalimantan is 45 years old. By carrying the theme Stronger Together for Our Future, we strive to be able to anticipate all challenges as well as seize opportunities and continue to grow in the future," he said.

Rahmad added, the company carries out business activities through efficient methods and high production effectiveness so that it is able to have a positive impact on the environment and society.

"PKT will continue to ensure that companies continue to grow bigger, accompanied by efforts to improve performance, guided by sustainable business processes," he stressed.

For information, Pupuk Kalimantan Timur is the largest urea producer in Southeast Asia. The state-owned business entity is known to have five production facilities with major outputs of ammonia and NPK.
