JAKARTA - Bank Muamalat launched the BPJS Employment contribution payment service through the corporate internet banking Muamalat Digital Integrated Access (Madina) and the mobile banking application Muamalat Digital Islamic Network (DIN).

Bank Muamalat's Chief Wholesale Banking Officer, Irvan Y Noor explained, for the Wage Recipient category (PU) it can use Madina, while the categories of Non-Wage Recipients (BPU) and Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) use DIN Muamalat.

"This facility is a form of convenience given to migrant workers, especially in Malaysia," he said in a statement quoted on Thursday, December 29.

Irvan explained that this cooperation was carried out to support government programs related to the protection of Indonesian workers, especially migrant workers in Malaysia, to fulfill their obligations in paying BPJS Ketenagakerjaan contributions.

Payment of contributions becomes easier because payment options are more diverse.

The Muamalat Bank is the only sharia bank in the country that has a full branch office in Malaysia, precisely in Kuala Lumpur. Meanwhile, we know that Malaysia is one of the countries where our migrant workers complain about their fate. This partnership will make it easier for them to pay BPJS Ketenagakerjaan contributions, either through branch offices or via Bank Muamalat's electronic channels," he said.

Previously, Bank Muamalat had implemented the BPJS Employment contribution receipt service through tellers since 2019, then continued with the implementation of BPJS Employment contribution receipt services through corporate and mobile banking internet banking.

For corporate customers of Bank Muamalat using Madina, the payment method is as follows:

1. Login participants then select the Payment and Employment BPJS menu.

2. Select the membership type and enter the billing code with a virtual account number along with a nominal number or the Electronic Payment System (EPS) number as issued by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.

3. Confirm the payment and agree to the transaction.

As for the payment stage of DIN Muamalat users, namely, participants login and select the Repay & Recharge menu.

Then select the type of BPJS Employment payment, Next, select the type of participation and enter the NIK for non-wage recipient membership or billing code for the participation of Indonesian Migrant Workers.

And finally confirm the payment with TIN Muamalat DIN.

With this service improvement, we hope that it will further facilitate Bank Muamalat customers, both corporations and individuals, including migrant workers, especially in Malaysia, to fulfill their obligations. At the same time, it can help increase the receipt of contributions or fundraising for BPJS Employment from existing participants and new participants," concluded Irvan.
