JAKARTA - PT Adhi Commuter Properti Tbk (ADCP), a property developer based on mass transportation in Indonesia is ready to accelerate the development of mass transportation-based housing or Transit Oriented Development (TOD) in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok and Bekasi (Jabodebek) areas.

"This is in line with the development of the Jabodebek Light Rapid Transit (LRT) phase 1 which is planned to operate commercially in 2023," said ADCP President Director Rizkan Firman in his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, December 27.

Rizkan stated that the visit of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo to ensure operational readiness of the Jabodebek LRT phase I by conducting a trial from the Harjamukti LRT to the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) LRT Station on Monday (26/12) gave a positive hope for the completion of the LRT project so that it can be ascertained that the Jabodebek LRT phase I will operate immediately.

"This is a positive catalyst for the company, considering the TOD-concepted housing developed by ADCP is integrated with LRT Station," he said.

Therefore, he continued, the company is increasingly determined to accelerate the development of TOD-concepted housing, so that people can feel the benefits of living in their homes with ease of mobilization.

He said, until now the completion of the 12 ADCP projects continues to be accelerated in accordance with the predetermined targets.

In welcoming the commercial operation of the LRT, he continued, public interest in TOD-concepted housing can also be seen from the high sales of several residential projects being worked on.

"The sold outs of some of our residences are proof that people are enthusiastic about living in residential areas with the concept of TOD and are ready to welcome LRT operations," said Rizkan.

In the future, he added, companies will not only focus on housing that is connected to LRT Stations, but also prepare activity integration platforms that support the mobility and accessibility of modern communities such as offices, hotels, commercial areas, restaurants, shopping centers, entertainment centers that can be accessed by all people who are active in the TOD area.

Previously, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, confirmed the operational readiness of the Jabodebek LRT phase I by conducting trials from the Harjamukti LRT to the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) LRT Station.

According to the President, currently the progress of the Jabodebek LRT phase I has reached 87 percent. However, there are several things that must be completed to operate in accordance with the set targets, from depots to system synchronization.

"We hope that in June, July 2023 it will be able to operate together with the high-speed train," said the President.
