After Achieving Rp52.4 Billion In Revenue, PTPN IX Continues To Optimize Assets Outside Of Core Business

PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) IX as a subsidiary of the plantation holding company continues to explore sources of income outside the plantation core business by optimizing assets in various industrial sectors such as industrial areas, agro tourism, rest areas, and fisheries.

"In addition to using assets independently, we are also collaborating with strategic partners from both the private sector and other SOEs in line with the priority program for the transformation of plantation holdings," said SEVP Business Support PTPN IX Affan Safiq, quoted by Antara, Saturday, December 24.

The latest exploration from PTPN IX is to develop a restaurant business by utilizing assets located in the Semarang Old Town Area.

The official opening of the Restaurant and Coffeeshop under the name Background by Banaran was carried out by prioritizing the industrial vintage theme which is expected to provide a different experience for visitors and tourists.

"The implementation of asset optimization has also been regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of SOEs and Perdir Holding and is in line with the Strategic Program of Plantation Holding," he said.

This was conveyed by Affan when describing the geographical position of PTPN IX in Central Java to provide opportunities in collaborating with strategic partners to maximize noncore business revenue from potential assets.

He said that until the end of 2022, PTPN IX had recorded several achievements from asset optimization by posting revenues of IDR 52.4 billion.

According to him, this 171 percent achievement exceeded the target of IDR 30.6 billion and contributed 8.4 percent of the company's total revenue until November 2022.

"PTPN IX continues to strive to improve performance through strategic steps with the principles of Good Corporate Governance and at the same time maintaining environmental sustainability, in order to become a high competitive and growing agribusiness company with partners," he said.
