In order to encourage economic revival and the opening of employment opportunities, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno wants tourists who come to the super priority destination (DPSP) Borobudur Temple to have an interesting impression through the Borobudur Trail of Civilization (BToC) travel pattern.

He said the BToC travel pattern that tourists can enjoy focuses on the storytelling process derived from the interpretation of relief panels of Borobudur Temple, as well as the actualization of supporting activities based on the potential and culture of local communities in 16 villages of the Borobudur Area which are packaged into nine thematic tourist routes.

"This program made us learn about the history of heritage in Borobudur Temple. There is a superior civilization that we can adapt to today's life," Sandiaga said in a written statement, Monday, December 19.

According to him, this facilitation program is carried out to encourage parekraf actors to improve the quality of BToC heritage tourism through the procurement of tourism attraction support equipment, arrangement of attraction locations, as well as capacity building and assisting human resources (HR).

This program is intended for tourists to maintain Borobudur Temple and maintain the carrying capacity of temples which can only accommodate 1,000 tourists.

Therefore, said Sandiaga, his party encourages tourists to travel to the balangdes in the area around the temple.

"We have completed the path of Borobudur civilization. Travel to Borobudur and enjoy the exploration of BToC civilization," he said.

To support promotion and marketing activities, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy also provides assistance in the creation and management of promotional media and packaging of tour packages.

The tour package that was created collaborates with the homestay of the people of Borobudur and is packaged as a variety of tour packages there that provide travel experiences, knowledge culture, and local people's lives through direct interactions with homeowners.

On that occasion, Sandiaga also appealed to tourists who want to prepare for the 2023 Christmas and New Year (nataru) holidays to vacation and travel in #IndonesiaAja.

"We guarantee that there will be no potential threats that disrupt your tourism. What needs to be improved (alert) is the threat of weather and disasters that we have coordinated with local governments," he concluded.
