JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) has begun to develop a 2045 Golden Indonesia roadmap for Indonesia's business, industry, and human resources. This roadmap helps Indonesia to achieve its goals and visions in the future, precisely one century after independence.

Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Arsjad Rasjid, said that the road map to Indonesia Gold 2045 will be one of the main work programs of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2023. This is Kadin Indonesia's commitment to help and realize President Joko Widodo's vision.

"This roadmap is made so that all efforts, programs, and initiatives can be more coordinated and directed at achieving the 2045 development target. Roadmaps must also be made jointly, collaboratively, and inclusively because each sector has different challenges and opportunities," said Arsjad in a written statement, Thursday, December 15.

He admitted that his party had the same optimism as President Jokowi regarding the way to achieve Indonesia Gold 2045, which was very wide open.

This is because Indonesia has a comparative advantage that other countries do not have, namely a large market, abundant productive workforce, and the wealth of natural resources.

Not only that, Indonesia has also won world trust by successfully hosting the G20-B20 2022 and was elected as the organizer of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (BAC) Summit 2023.

These two things, said Arsjad, are Indonesia's capital to achieve progress and prosperity.

"President Jokowi has formulated a vision for Indonesia to become the fourth-largest economic power country in the world. This is a big dream that we can achieve. The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will create a road map," he said.

"We have to make research. What steps the business world can help realize, especially in all industrial sectors, including MSMEs, and also the preparation of human resources so that they are not only prosperous and prosperous, but also zero poverty," he added.

To achieve Indonesia Gold 2045, Arsjad mentioned the need for checkpoints, especially in 2030 to measure and evaluate the success of steps to get out of the middle income trap. Otherwise, what should be addressed and if successful what must be improved, so that towards 2045 it will be easier to achieve.

"In addition to the roadmap, we also need to think about policy recommendations so that they are in sync and in harmony. The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry needs to collaborate with universities, research institutions to create comprehensive and clear policies. We also have to involve regional thinking through the FGD, so that economic planning is inclusive, fair, and reaches all over Indonesia," he explained.

Arsjad said that specifically, the Indonesia Gold roadmap targets four clusters, including downstreaming, digital transformation, poverty alleviation, and improving health, as well as a green economy.

"In reaching Indonesia Gold 2045, this country must prepare all aspects from now on, in this case including a clear roadmap. At least, in the next five years Indonesia must have a clear, firm, and concrete direction," he concluded.

Previously, President Jokowi Widodo had launched the Vision Indonesia Gold 2045, in 2016

The vision contains an ideal picture and achievements that Indonesia must achieve at the age of 100 years since independence, namely being one of the countries with high income and being in the fourth position in the world as a developed country.

The business and industrial sectors are also said to play an important role in efforts to realize Indonesia Gold 2045.
