PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has yet to prepare a corporate action to list its initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) next year.

This is because of the shadow of the global economic recession.

ASDP's Director of Finance, IT and Risk Management, Djunia Satriawan said, the IPO will still be carried out, it's just that his party is still waiting for the right time.

Djunia said efforts to list the initial shares in the capital market must also take into account external conditions or situations. Such as rising interest rates, inflation, and weakening the Rupiah exchange rate against the United States dollar. These factors have a major influence on investor psychology in the domestic stock exchange.

"It's still on track. It's just that we see current macro conditions where inflation is also quite high, interest rates also increase, exchange rates also increase, we see when the interest rate increases, so we see the right timing," said Djunia when met in the South Jakarta area, Wednesday, December 14.

Djunia explained that the IPO plan is still under discussion at the internal company and the Ministry of SOEs.

Because, he said, the company's position was still waiting for directions from shareholders regarding the implementation of the corporate action.

The directive is also related to the plan of a number of SOEs in other sectors that will also conduct IPOs next year. So, said Djunia, ASDP requires the right strategy, including when the implementation time will be.

"Depending on macroeconomic conditions and directions from the Ministry of SOEs. Because it must be adjusted to which SOEs will also have an IPO, there must be a strategy," he said.
